The Lonedale Operator (1911)
[Movie]A telegraph operator defends a remote station from outlaws, using quick wits and a cleverly rigged telegraph line.
Why people love it: Its clever use of tension and technology makes for a gripping short. The suspenseful climax remains a masterclass in early film pacing.
