The Blood of Heroes (1989)
[Movie]In a post‑apocalyptic world, rival clans battle in a brutal game of rugby for scarce resources.
Why people love it: Its bleak setting is offset by an oddly poetic sport that symbolizes hope. Hauer’s stoic presence grounds the chaotic action. The film’s gritty realism feels ahead of its time.
